Volkswagen Golf
After a whirlwind of changes in Volkswagen's
line for '99, the Golf has few changes for 2000.
Minor equipment refurbishments include the
same new radio display incorporated in all 2000
VWs. A brake-wear indicator as well as an
improved anti-theft detection system have also
been added. Last year's 2.0-liter/115-horsepower
inline-four engine and more rigid platform carry
over to the new year without alteration. This
five-door hatchback sedan comes with a solid
array of standard features including side airbags, ABS, and premium audio system. Optional
features? A four-speed automatic transmission, heated leather seats, and power glass sunroof.
